The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 28 approved a 2 percent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for central employees and Dearness Relief (DR) for pensioners. Now the dearness allowance of central employees will increase from 53 percent to 55 percent.

The article from MSN discusses the recent changes in the salary structure for government employees in India. Initially, the government announced a 4% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) in March 2020, which was later revised to a 3% hike in June 2021 due to economic constraints caused by the global health crisis.
