The Trump campaign is reportedly planning to reverse several of President Joe Biden's initiatives aimed at promoting electric vehicles (EVs) and reducing emissions if Donald Trump wins the 2024 election. According to a report by Reuters, Trump's team intends to dismantle Biden's policies that encourage the transition to electric vehicles, including the EPA's tailpipe emissions rules which push for a significant increase in EV sales by 2032. These plans include rolling back EV tax credits, subsidies for EV charging infrastructure, and other regulations designed to lower carbon emissions. The move is part of a broader strategy to undo what Trump's team describes as "Biden's EV mandates," reflecting Trump's previous administration's preference for traditional automotive industries over green technology advancements.
