Murphy emphasized that while drones can pose security risks, the current situation does not warrant the level of alarm previously seen. He highlighted that the state has implemented new regulations and technologies to manage drone activity more effectively, including the use of counter-drone systems at critical infrastructure sites. The decrease in sightings is attributed to both better public understanding and stricter enforcement measures.
