Governor Kevin Stitt of Oklahoma has appointed Calvin Prince to fill the final vacancy on the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board, as announced on July 1, 2023. Prince, who previously served as the District Attorney for the 27th Judicial District from 1987 to 2007, brings extensive experience in law enforcement and criminal justice to the board. His appointment comes at a time when the board is under scrutiny for its role in clemency decisions, particularly in death penalty cases.
