The Democratic officeholders led their primary challengers as of 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

In the New Jersey Assembly election for District 6, incumbent Democrats Louis Greenwald and Pamela Lampitt are facing a primary challenge from political newcomer and Cherry Hill resident, Daniel Francisco. The primary election is set for June 6, with the winners advancing to the general election in November. Greenwald, who has served in the Assembly since 1996 and is currently the Majority Leader, and Lampitt, serving since 2006, are both seeking re-election. Francisco, a former teacher and small business owner, is running on a platform focused on education, economic development, and government transparency. The district, which includes parts of Burlington and Camden counties, leans heavily Democratic, making the primary contest crucial for determining the likely Assembly representatives.
