Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a rally in Uttarakhand's Rudrapur on April 2, 2024, asserted that his government has taken the fight against terrorism directly to the terrorists' homes, a shift from previous administrations' approach. He criticized the Congress party for allegedly nurturing terrorism to appease certain voter bases and claimed that under his leadership, India has seen a significant change in its security strategy, with actions like surgical strikes and air strikes being executed to combat terrorism effectively. Modi also highlighted his government's efforts in curbing corruption and nepotism, contrasting it with the Congress's alleged support for such practices. Additionally, he mentioned the BJP's commitment to development and welfare, pointing out the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and the abrogation of Article 370 as key achievements.
