Congress leader Salman Khurshid, who is member of an all party delegation to put India's stance forward on counter-terror Operation Sindoor after Pahalgam terror attack, admitted that Article 370 of the Constitution somehow gave an impression that Kashmir was separate from the rest of the country.
In an interview with Republic TV, senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid admitted that Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir, gave the impression that the region was separate from the rest of the country. He acknowledged that this perception was a mistake and that the Congress party should have addressed it earlier. Khurshid's statement comes in the context of the ongoing debate over the abrogation of Article 370 by the BJP-led government in August 2019, a move that has been both praised and criticized by various political parties and stakeholders.
