Lee Ju-ho, who took over as South Korea's new acting president, said in the early hours of Friday that he would do his best to run the government stably, according to local media. Lee, the education minister, became the third acting president since the martial law decree in December.

South Korea's interim President, Lee Myung-bak, has called for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing tensions with North Korea, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and cooperation.
