Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe has issued two executive orders aimed at addressing issues related to undocumented migrants and law enforcement compensation. The first order requires the Missouri State Highway Patrol to track and report on the transportation of undocumented migrants through the state, focusing on identifying the origins, destinations, and any associated criminal activities. This move comes in response to concerns about the implications of migrant transportation on state resources and security. The second order increases the pay for Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers and sergeants by $4,000 annually, aiming to improve recruitment and retention within the force.
