The plane, which was carrying Trudeau, his family, and a delegation, was grounded in Tampa for repairs. This incident occurred after Trudeau attended a summit in the Bahamas. The Prime Minister and his family stayed at a hotel in Tampa overnight, while the rest of the delegation was rerouted to Ottawa on a commercial flight. The plane, operated by the Royal Canadian Air Force, was expected to be repaired by the following day, allowing Trudeau to return to Canada. This event marks another instance of technical difficulties with the aging fleet of VIP aircraft used by Canadian officials.
