'This is a campaign promise': Trump Administration zeroes in on perceived political enemies

President Donald Trump campaigned on retribution, and this week his administration has either charged, investigated or threatened to investigate several individuals and organizations Trump perceived as political enemies. Susan Del Percio and Basil Smikle weigh in on Trump's retribution tour, how they think voters are responding to this and how democrats should react. The Trump administration has fulfilled a campaign promise by zeroing out funding for the Woodrow Wilson Center, a think tank established by Congress in 1968, as part of its 2021 budget proposal. The decision to defund the center, which receives around $13 million annually from the federal government, stems from President Trump's criticism of the center's perceived liberal bias and its association with former President Woodrow Wilson, whom Trump has accused of racism. The move has sparked controversy, with supporters of the center arguing that it provides valuable, nonpartisan research and analysis on global issues, while critics applaud the administration's efforts to cut funding for what they see as a wasteful and biased institution.
