A massive trove of government name data, updated and released to the public Friday, may make you feel old.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has officially declared 21 species extinct, removing them from the Endangered Species Act's protection list. This decision marks the first such delisting due to extinction since 2018, highlighting the irreversible loss of biodiversity.
