'1 Crore Hindu Refugees May Come To Bengal, CM Should Be Prepared, Says Suvendu Adhikari

In wake of unrest in Bangladesh, Suvendu Adhikari has raised the matter of security of Hindus and asked the state government to be prepared to take refugees.

Suvendu Adhikari, the Leader of Opposition in West Bengal, has warned that approximately one crore Hindu refugees from Bangladesh may seek refuge in West Bengal due to increasing persecution and violence against minorities in Bangladesh. He criticized the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) for not preparing to handle the potential influx of refugees, suggesting that the state government should take proactive measures. Adhikari's comments were made in the context of recent communal violence in Bangladesh, particularly highlighting the need for the West Bengal government to be ready to support the incoming refugees.
