K.P. Sharma Oli has been appointed as Nepal's new Prime Minister and is set to take the oath of office on Monday, following a power-sharing deal with the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) and the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre). Oli, who previously served as Prime Minister from 2015 to 2016 and from 2018 to 2021, will lead a coalition government after the CPN-UML and CPN-MC agreed to share power on a rotational basis. The appointment comes after weeks of political negotiations and is seen as a move to stabilize the government and address the country's economic challenges.
