Federal judge orders Elon Musk's DOGE to reveal government plan and identify all employees

US District Judge Tanya Chutkan has ordered the Tesla CEO to provide certain information about his government dealings.

Elon Musk's plans to create a cryptocurrency called "Doge-1" were revealed through a court order in a lawsuit filed by Dogecoin investors against Musk, Tesla, and SpaceX. The documents disclosed that Musk had discussed the idea of a Dogecoin-based satellite with SpaceX employees, aiming to launch a satellite named Doge-1 to the moon. This project was part of Musk's broader interest in Dogecoin, which he has publicly supported, often tweeting about it and influencing its market value. The lawsuit claims that Musk's actions, including his tweets and the promotion of Dogecoin, artificially inflated the cryptocurrency's price, leading to significant financial losses for investors when the price eventually dropped. The court order has brought to light Musk's extensive involvement with Dogecoin, beyond mere social media endorsements, into actual business and technological ventures.
