'We postponed Budget Speech because it was not finalised, not because of ANC and DA quarrels', says Cabinet

The South African Cabinet has clarified that the postponement of the Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS) was due to the document not being finalized, rather than any political disagreements between the ANC and DA. This statement was made to dispel rumors suggesting that internal political quarrels were the cause of the delay. The MTBPS, which outlines the government's fiscal policy and spending plans for the next three years, was originally scheduled for October 25 but has been rescheduled to November 1. The Cabinet emphasized the importance of ensuring the budget speech is comprehensive and accurate, reflecting the economic conditions and policy adjustments necessary for the country's financial planning.
