The frustrated SACP announced last week that they would be contesting the upcoming 2026 local government elections alone without the ANC.

The South African Communist Party (SACP) has reassured that its members deployed in the Cabinet remain secure despite uncertainties regarding the future of the Tripartite Alliance, which includes the African National Congress (ANC), the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU), and the SACP.
