Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, has said that another five Ukrainian children had been brought back from Russia and the temporarily occupied territories to the territory controlled by Ukraine.

The Ukrainian government has successfully repatriated five more children from Russia and the territories it occupies, as part of ongoing efforts to reunite families separated by the conflict. This operation was facilitated by Ukraine's human rights commissioner, Dmytro Lubinets, who has been instrumental in these repatriation efforts. The children, whose ages and identities were not disclosed, were brought back to Ukraine with the assistance of the charity Save Ukraine. This action follows a pattern of similar repatriations, with the total number of children returned now reaching 387. The return of these children underscores the broader humanitarian crisis caused by the war, where many children have been forcibly taken or displaced. Ukraine continues to work on bringing back all its citizens, especially children, from Russian-held areas, amidst international calls for accountability and justice for the forced transfers.
