Urban League of Portland taps former Multnomah County DA Mike Schmidt as general counsel

The Urban League of Portland has appointed former Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt as its new general counsel. Schmidt, who did not seek re-election after his term, will start his new role on January 16, 2025. His appointment comes at a time when the Urban League is focusing on criminal justice reform, housing, and economic development.
