'Resolve it, else we will': Supreme Court on standoff between Tamil Nadu Governor and state government
- The Supreme Court on Friday said that if the standoff between the Tamil Nadu Governor and the state government was not resolved by the next date of hearing, then it would step in to resolve the issue.
The Supreme Court of India has intervened in the ongoing conflict between Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi and the state government led by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. The court has directed both parties to resolve their differences amicably, particularly concerning the assent to bills passed by the state assembly. The court emphasized the need for constitutional discourse and warned of judicial intervention if the situation does not improve, highlighting the importance of maintaining the dignity of constitutional positions.
