The U.S. is set to provide Ukraine an additional $500 million in weapons quickly pulled from its existing stockpiles as the Biden administration works to get Kyiv in a stronger negotiating position before President-elect Donald Trump takes office,

The U.S. is set to announce a new military aid package for Ukraine valued at up to $500 million, which includes a variety of weapons and equipment. This package will feature ground vehicles like Bradley fighting vehicles and Stryker armored personnel carriers, as well as munitions for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), Javelin anti-tank weapons, and munitions for Patriot and Stinger anti-aircraft systems. This aid is part of ongoing support to Ukraine amidst its conflict with Russia, with the announcement expected to be made by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin at the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
