This announcement was made during a press conference in Nagpur, where he also addressed the ongoing Maratha reservation issue, stating that the government is actively working on providing reservations for the Maratha community while ensuring it does not affect the quotas of other communities. Fadnavis emphasized that the stipend hike is part of the BJP's promise to empower women financially, and the government is dedicated to fulfilling this commitment. He also mentioned that the state cabinet has approved the draft of the Maratha reservation bill, which will be presented in a special session of the state legislature.
