Musk, Ramaswamy meet with lawmakers to build support for slashing government programs

It was a busy day on Capitol Hill where Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy met with House and Senate Republicans. The two were recently appointed by President-elect Trump to lead a new commission that aims to reduce government spending.
Elon Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy met with Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill to advocate for significant reductions in government spending and regulations. Their discussions focused on slashing what they perceive as unnecessary federal programs, with a particular emphasis on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Education. Ramaswamy, who has been vocal about his views on reducing the size of government, argued that these agencies often overstep their bounds, stifling innovation and economic growth.
