Srinagar, Apr 4 (PTI) People's Democratic Party leader Waheed Para on Friday criticised the ruling National Conference, saying the party was focusing on powers to transfer officers instead of resisting the changes enforced post August 2019. Waheed Para, a PDP youth leader and former Srinagar Lok Sabha candidate, criticized the National Conference (NC) for prioritizing the power to transfer officers over the restoration of statehood for Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking at a party convention in Shopian, Para accused the NC of engaging in "petty politics" and focusing on trivial issues rather than advocating for the region's statehood, which he considers a more pressing concern. He emphasized that the PDP remains committed to fighting for the rights and dignity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting the need for unity and a focus on substantial issues affecting the region.
