  • Predicting Pakistan-occupied Kashmir's (PoK) assimilation into India in the near future, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday batted strongly for healthy relations with neighbours like Bangladesh.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated on June 25, 2023, that the people of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) would eventually push for unification with India, driven by the development and progress in Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted that the revocation of Article 370 has led to significant improvements in the region, including a decline in terrorism and an increase in tourism. Singh emphasized that the visible development in Jammu and Kashmir would inspire PoK residents to seek integration with India, asserting that PoK is an integral part of India. He also mentioned that the government's efforts are focused on ensuring peace and development in the area, which he believes will naturally lead to the desire for unity among the people across the border.
