Cox reversed his longtime position on Trump following the July assassination attempt

A recent poll conducted by Deseret News and the Hinckley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah reveals that Utah Governor Spencer Cox's approval rating has risen to 63%, up from 59% in the previous quarter. The poll, which surveyed 802 registered Utah voters from April 2-12, 2025, indicates that Cox's approval rating has been steadily increasing since he took office.
