The shadow Housing Secretary, Kevin Hollinrake, did not rule out the Tories accepting a donation from Musk amid reports that he was interested in destabilising Sir Keir Starmer and removing him from office before the general election.

Kemi Badenoch, the UK's Business and Trade Secretary, has received support from Elon Musk after she warned that companies enforcing diversity policies could face legal action. Badenoch criticized the use of "covertly racist" diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, arguing that they promote discrimination under the guise of equality.
