Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has pledged to take stringent action against the Women and Child Development (WCD) Department for issuing a public notice that contradicted the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana. This scheme, aimed at providing Rs 1,000 monthly to women above 18 years, was misrepresented in the notice which suggested that women receiving pensions or other government benefits were ineligible. Atishi criticized the notice for potentially discouraging eligible women from applying and clarified that the scheme's guidelines do not bar those receiving other benefits. She emphasized that the notice was not approved by her or the Finance Department and ordered an investigation into how it was published, promising accountability for those responsible.
