HYDERABAD: Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Wednesday instructed the officials to complete the process of verifying applications received from prospective beneficiaries under the state government's flagship Indiramma Housing Scheme by December 31.

The Telangana government has received approximately 800,000 applications for the Indiramma Housing Scheme, which was launched by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. This initiative aims to provide housing to the underprivileged, with a focus on those who have not previously benefited from similar government schemes. The scheme promises to construct 3,500 houses in each of the state's 119 Assembly constituencies, totaling 4.5 lakh houses. Applications are being accepted until January 6, 2024, and the government has set up a streamlined process for application submission, including a dedicated website and toll-free numbers for assistance. The scheme has seen significant interest, particularly from rural areas, with many applicants expressing hope for better living conditions.
