India has clarified that it does not endorse the statements made by Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina regarding the situation in Myanmar, particularly concerning the Rohingya crisis and the military's actions. Vikram Misri, Deputy National Security Adviser, emphasized that India's stance on Myanmar is based on its own assessment of the situation, focusing on promoting peace, stability, and democracy in the region. He highlighted India's engagement with all stakeholders in Myanmar, including the military, ethnic armed organizations, and pro-democracy groups, to foster a peaceful resolution. Misri also noted that India supports the democratic process in Myanmar and has been providing humanitarian assistance to those affected by the conflict, while maintaining that Hasina's comments do not reflect India's official position.
