'Broader and deeper' online risk to UK from criminals and state-backed hackers

The NCSC, part of GCHQ, highlighted that these cyber threats are not only becoming more advanced but are also focusing on supply chains and smaller businesses that might be less secure. The alert comes amidst heightened geopolitical tensions, with specific mention of Russian hackers' activities following the invasion of Ukraine. The NCSC advises organizations to enhance their cybersecurity measures to mitigate these risks.
