The Ellenbrook Line, a long-awaited rail project in Western Australia, has finally opened 16 years after it was first promised by the state government. The $1.2 billion project, which includes a 12-kilometer extension of the Midland line, now connects Ellenbrook to central Perth, significantly reducing travel times for residents. The line features three new stations: Morley, Noranda, and Ellenbrook, and is expected to serve around 10,000 passengers daily. The opening was marked by a community event attended by local residents, officials, and politicians, including Premier Roger Cook, who highlighted the project's role in improving transport infrastructure and supporting urban growth in the region.
