  • Both the EFF and MKP slam President Ramaphosa's cabinet reshuffle as a pointless exercise, accusing government of focusing on political gain instead of tackling South Africa's ongoing socio-economic crises.

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and the newly formed uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party have criticized President Cyril Ramaphosa's recent cabinet reshuffle, accusing the government of lacking a moral compass. The reshuffle, which saw the appointment of new ministers and deputy ministers, was described by the EFF as a "disgrace" and a sign of the ANC's desperation to cling to power. EFF leader Julius Malema highlighted the inclusion of individuals with questionable integrity, suggesting that the reshuffle was more about political survival than effective governance. Similarly, the MK Party, led by former President Jacob Zuma, condemned the reshuffle as a "circus" and an indication of the ANC's moral and political bankruptcy. Both parties expressed concerns over the competence and ethical standing of the new appointees, arguing that the changes do not address the critical issues facing South Africa.
