Razman Zakaria, the Perak PAS Commissioner, has been referred to the Rights and Privilege Committee for allegedly inciting and slandering the Perak State Legislative Assembly. This action follows a complaint by Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, the Perak Menteri Besar, who accused Razman of making seditious remarks during a political talk in Manjung. The remarks reportedly suggested that the state government was involved in corrupt practices, specifically mentioning a "commission" for projects. The referral was made under Standing Order 80(1)(c) and (d), which deals with breaches of privilege and contempt of the House. The matter will be addressed in the upcoming State Assembly sitting on May 22, 2023.
