Govt spending improved in Nov

The article from MSN discusses the improvement in government spending for November, as reported by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM). According to the DBM, government agencies disbursed P423.8 billion, marking a 21.4% increase from the P349.1 billion spent in November of the previous year. This uptick in spending was attributed to the catch-up plans of various agencies, particularly in infrastructure projects, which saw a significant rise in disbursements. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) was highlighted for its substantial contribution to this increase, with its spending jumping by 40.7% to P108.5 billion. Additionally, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) also played a role with a 22.6% increase in its disbursements. This surge in spending reflects the government's efforts to accelerate project implementation and meet fiscal targets.
