Judge Kimberly Cocroft has been in office for almost 15 years. Her lawsuit targets court administration and almost every other Franklin County Court of Common Pleas judge.
A Franklin County judge, Kim Brown, has filed a lawsuit against her fellow judges, alleging racial, gender, and employment discrimination. Judge Brown claims that she has been subjected to a hostile work environment, including being denied a private office, having her courtrooms reassigned, and being excluded from judicial meetings. She also alleges that her colleagues have made derogatory comments about her race and gender, and have undermined her authority in court. The lawsuit seeks damages for emotional distress, lost wages, and other relief. The Franklin County Court of Common Pleas has not yet responded to the allegations, but the case highlights ongoing issues of discrimination within the judicial system.
