John Morgan, the face of mega-law firm Morgan & Morgan, announced on Wednesday that he would create a third political party.

John Morgan, a prominent Florida attorney known for his "For the People" slogan, has announced the formation of a new political committee named "I'm With The People" to support a constitutional amendment aimed at legalizing recreational marijuana in Florida. This move comes after the Florida Supreme Court's decision to allow a similar initiative, Smart & Safe Florida, to proceed with gathering signatures for the 2024 ballot. Morgan, who has previously backed medical marijuana legalization, expressed his belief that the current proposal by Smart & Safe Florida is flawed and likely to fail, prompting him to take action to ensure a better-crafted amendment reaches the voters.
