  • A federal judge in Washington, D.C., has refused to block Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E) from accessing US Department of Labor data. The ruling came on Saturday after the labor union American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) filed a lawsuit against Elon.

A U.S. federal judge has denied requests from Elon Musk and his company X Corp to block the U.S. Department of Labor from using the term "D.O.G.E." in its communications. The term, which stands for "Delivering On-site Government Efficiency," was contested by Musk due to its similarity to Dogecoin, a cryptocurrency he has publicly supported. The judge ruled that the government's use of the acronym does not infringe on any trademark or cause confusion with Dogecoin, emphasizing that the government's use is for a legitimate public purpose related to improving efficiency in government operations. This decision allows the Department of Labor to continue using "D.O.G.E." in its initiatives aimed at enhancing workplace safety and efficiency.
