Israel said "there are still several unresolved clauses in the outline, and we hope that the details will be finalized tonight."

The U.S. and Qatar have brokered a deal to temporarily halt the fighting between Israel and Hamas, aiming to facilitate the release of hostages and increase humanitarian aid into Gaza. This agreement includes a four-day pause in hostilities, during which Hamas will release 50 hostages, primarily women and children, in exchange for Israel releasing 150 Palestinian prisoners. The ceasefire is set to begin within the next 24 hours, with the possibility of extension if more hostages are freed. This deal also allows for the entry of numerous aid trucks carrying essential supplies like food, water, medicine, and fuel into Gaza, addressing the dire humanitarian situation there. The agreement marks a significant diplomatic effort to de-escalate the conflict and provide relief to the affected populations.
