Brian Bingman sworn into Oklahoma Corporation Commission
- Brian Bingman joins the body responsible for regulating Oklahoma's oil and gas, utility and transportation industries.
Brian Bingman was sworn into the Oklahoma Corporation Commission on January 9, 2024, filling the vacancy left by former Commissioner Bob Anthony. Bingman, who previously served as Oklahoma's Secretary of State and has a long history in state politics including roles as a state senator and representative, was appointed by Governor Kevin Stitt. His appointment was confirmed by the Oklahoma Senate with a vote of 34-7. Bingman, who also has experience as a mayor and in the oil and gas industry, expressed his commitment to serving the public and ensuring the state's utility services remain reliable and affordable. He will serve the remainder of Anthony's term, which ends in January 2025.
