Former vice-presidential hopeful and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) is backing Ken Martin, the Democratic state party chair in Minnesota, in his bid to take the helm of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has endorsed Ken Martin, the current chair of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL), to become the next leader of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). This endorsement comes as the current DNC Chair Jaime Harrison is expected to step down after the 2024 election. Walz praised Martin's leadership, particularly highlighting his success in turning Minnesota into a reliably blue state and his ability to manage party operations effectively.
