Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of AIMIM, criticized the Narendra Modi government's decision to rename the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) to the Prime Ministers' Museum and Library Society. During a press conference, Owaisi questioned the government's actions by using a hypothetical scenario, asking if digging up Parliament and finding something would make it his property. He argued that the renaming was an attempt to erase the legacy of Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first Prime Minister, and accused the BJP of historical revisionism. Owaisi emphasized that Nehru's contributions to India's freedom struggle and his role in shaping the nation's democratic and secular fabric should be acknowledged, not diminished.
