The community has been agitating for this change for over two years, arguing that their socio-economic conditions warrant a higher reservation. Despite assurances from Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who has promised to address their demands after the Lok Sabha elections, the community remains dissatisfied with the lack of immediate action. The protest has seen significant participation, with community members expressing frustration over the government's delay in fulfilling their long-standing demand for better representation and opportunities.
