A prominent Conservative Party donor and peer, Lord Kulveer Ranger, has been stripped of his CBE following a harassment incident involving a journalist. The incident occurred at a private members' club in London, where Lord Ranger, after consuming alcohol, made inappropriate comments and advances towards the journalist, leading to a formal complaint. The Honours Forfeiture Committee, after reviewing the case, decided to revoke his CBE, which he received in 2013 for his contributions to transport. Despite this, Lord Ranger remains a member of the House of Lords. He has since apologized for his behavior, attributing it to a lapse in judgment due to alcohol consumption, and has committed to seeking help for his drinking. The Conservative Party has acknowledged the incident but has not commented on any potential further actions regarding his party membership.
