OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 19, 2009) - Galahad Metals Inc. ("GAX")(TSX VENTURE:GAX) announced today that Mr. Kevin Rivers has been appointed by the Board to serve as a Director of the Company. Mr. Rivers has extensive experience in private investment in the oil and gas industry and the mineral industry. Mr. Rivers is also on the Board of Directors of Wedge Energy International Inc. (CNSX:WEG). Management believes his contacts in the investment community will be invaluable to the Company.

The Board has also appointed Ms. Barbara Evers, CPA, of the firm Schellenberg & Evers, as Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Evers is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Michigan and a member of The American Association of Certified Public Accountants. She has a wide variety of experience in computer systems and consulting, and has worked in both the public and private sectors. She co-founded Schellenberg & Evers, PC in 1989.

The Board of Directors of GAX approved the grant of 410,000 stock options to 9 officers, directors and consultants of the company.
