Delhi: BJP seeks legal action over dual voter registration of mayor's wife as 'Mamta and Nidhi'

Delhi mayor Mahesh Khichi's wife has allegedly been registered twice under two different names, 'Mamta' and 'Nidhi' under the same address
The Delhi BJP has called for legal action against Shelly Oberoi, the Mayor of Delhi, alleging that her sister-in-law, Nidhi Gupta, is registered to vote under two different names, Mamta and Nidhi, in the same ward. This issue was raised by BJP leader Harish Khurana, who pointed out that Nidhi Gupta's dual registration could be a violation of electoral laws. The matter was brought to the attention of the Chief Election Commissioner of Delhi, with the BJP demanding an investigation into how such a discrepancy was allowed. The dual registration was discovered during a review of voter lists, highlighting potential irregularities in voter registration processes.
