Ekrem Imamoglu, the Mayor of Istanbul, has rejected all charges against him during the second day of interrogations following his detention on Wednesday. The charges stem from a 2019 tender process for the recruitment of municipal staff, where he is accused of rigging the tender. Imamoglu, who is also a prominent figure in the opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), has labeled the accusations as politically motivated, aimed at undermining his political career.
