Delhi Polls: BJP accuses AAP of "throwing away thousands" of registration forms for Mahila Samman Yojana

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of discarding thousands of registration forms for the 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana' in Delhi. This scheme, launched by the AAP government, aims to provide a monthly stipend of Rs 1,000 to women above 18 years of age. BJP leaders, including Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva, criticized the AAP for allegedly throwing away forms due to the scheme's poor response, suggesting that the AAP was trying to cover up its failure. They also pointed out that the scheme excludes women who are taxpayers, government employees, or beneficiaries of other government pensions, which has led to dissatisfaction among many potential beneficiaries. The AAP has not yet responded to these allegations.
