A recent poll conducted by the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) and the Carnegie Corporation of New York has revealed that a significant majority of Americans, about 65%, are actively limiting their exposure to political news due to feelings of fatigue and information overload. This trend spans across various demographics, with 68% of Republicans, 63% of Democrats, and 65% of independents expressing a desire to reduce their intake of political content. The survey, which included responses from 5,222 U.S. adults, highlights a growing disengagement from political news, particularly intensified by the contentious political climate.
