  • Mayor Alan Webber has yet to announce whether he plans to run for a third term as mayor in next year's election.

The Santa Fe New Mexican reports that two candidates, Councilor Jamie Cassutt and former City Councilor and current Santa Fe County Commissioner Anna Hansen, have announced their intentions to run for mayor of Santa Fe in the 2025 election. Cassutt, who has served on the City Council since 2019, aims to continue her work on housing, homelessness, and economic development. Hansen, who previously served on the City Council from 2013 to 2016, focuses on her experience in addressing similar issues during her tenure and her current role as a county commissioner. Both candidates are gearing up for what is expected to be a competitive race, with the current mayor, Alan Webber, not yet confirming if he will seek a third term.
